Kobo nimo michino ayamari - even Kobo gets lost / 弘法ニモ道ノアヤマリ is an artistic dance walk on the Shikoku Pilgrimage. The arctic based dance artist Yohei Hamada walks the pilgrimage route as a dynamic Artist in Residency, or Artist on Walk, in order to directly sense the nature, climate and season of Shikoku where Hamada grew up. The artistic walk will sometimes take unusual routes from the traditional Shikoku Pilgrimage route, and it is planned to end at unusual place, as Hamada gets lost, or goes off the beaten path (michikusa wo kuu / 道草をくう in Japanese) . On the walk he will post the short videos on his instagram accounts. The walk will be photo and text documented and later published on his website.
『弘法ニモ道アヤマリ』は、現在はノルウェーの北極圏を拠点に活動する濱田陽平が、自身の育った四国の自然、風土、季節を肌で感じ、体を通して体験するために四国八十八ケ所のお遍路の道を歩きます。これは、移動民を自称する濱田による、移動そのものをアーティスト・イン・レジデンスと捉えたアーティスト・オン・ウォークとしての試みでもあります。伝統的なお遍路のルートに基本的には準拠しつつも、故意に、あるいは偶然に、伝統的なルートを踏み外したり道草を食いつつ、このアーティスティックウォークは展開されます。その様子は濱田陽平の自身のインスタグラムアカウントに随時に投稿され、全体の記録は後日公式ウェブサイトに公開される予定です。
